About Me

silly
I’m Jana! Writer for The Potter’s Hand. I became a Christian 11 years ago, but only in the past few years have I identified myself as a Christ Follower (though I can often be found gimping along behind).  I strive to be a “doer” of the Word and not just a “hearer.” I’m not okay living the comfortable Christian life from my New England church pew. In fact, I’ve been known to leave my pew – to “do” church outside church walls.  Somehow I think we humans have made church much more complicated than God intended. I believe He is stirring up the hearts of ordinary, radical believers to live life the way Jesus instructed us to.

No stranger to struggle, I do my best to find joy where I am. I’m currently a homeschooling mom, I’m passionate, I’m not afraid of change and I’m likely to take the road less traveled if it means I’m following Him.

God has been teaching me to simplify life. Through this process, He has (and is) transforming me. I’m not the same person I was 11 years ago when I said “yes” to Him. I am a work in progress.

…so have a seat with me at the Potter’s wheel, and watch as He transforms this broken, jumbled mess into a (more) useful vessel. :)

Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
